Last week, the ATE Agenda – Alliance for Energy Transition was visited by representatives of the National Monitoring Commission for the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and IAPMEI, at the premises of the consortium leader, EFACEC.
The meeting highlighted the progress and challenges in implementing the Agenda, promoting an exchange of ideas on the implementation of the projects.
This was followed by technical visits to projects focussed on innovation in the areas of energy management, sustainable industrial solutions and electric mobility.
At EFACEC, the delegation visited three business areas: i) Transformers, with a focus on the Shell prototype and high-performance solutions for power distribution; ii) Equipment, with a focus on innovation in SF6-free systems and sustainability, including GIS cells and a laboratory; and iii) Electric Mobility, with demonstrations of the CPMS 2.0 management system and the high-power HPC charger.
At FEUP (Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto), advances in dye-sensitised solar cells were highlighted, including a visit to the laboratory to explore this emerging technology.
The visit ended at Toyota Caetano, where the assembly of the E-LC70 prototype was presented, an electric version of the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series, designed to combine robustness and versatility with sustainability.
These visits reinforce the commitment of ATE’s partners to technological innovation and sustainability, which are essential for the energy transition and sustainable development.
