The ATE Conference which took place on June 26 at the Super Bock arena, in Porto, brought together around 200 participants, including partners of the ATE Agenda, guests and the general public, around a collaborative debate on the urgency of accelerating the energy transition.

In all, 21 speakers of excellence shared complementary perspectives:

  • During the opening session, the President of the ATE Association, Miguel Pereira Gomes, highlighted the need for robust regulatory frameworks and Pedro Dominguinhos from CNA-PRR, emphasized that “without cooperation between companies, academia and political power to meet the goals and deadlines of the PRR, Portugal may fall behind in the energy transition”.
  • The keynote João Peças Lopes (INESC TEC) reinforced that “if decarbonisation is no longer a priority, we risk compromising the country’s energy future”.
  • Panels on strategic partnerships, AI in electricity grids, electric mobility and smart cities presented concrete cases of transition and again underlined the importance of collaboration between industry, academia and local authorities.

With 15 exhibition stands, the conference was a stage for the innovative projects of ATE and its partners – a showcase of applied technology: monitoring of eletrical networks, digitalization, AI, electric mobility and energy efficiency solutions.

We thank all the speakers, exhibitors, ATE Agenda partners and guests who, with their contribution, made this initiative a real success. Together, we show that it is possible to accelerate the energy transition and build today the sustainable future we want for tomorrow.
