The Collaborative Network of Laboratories is an initiative that brings together research laboratories with a common goal: to accelerate the development of new products and technological solutions for SMEs and industry – from the initial idea to market entry.
This innovative ecosystem integrates entities with complementary skills, capable of responding to all phases of the innovation process.
Its purpose is clear: to promote cooperation between science, technology, and industry, creating conditions for faster, collaborative, and applied innovation to the national business fabric. From the design and testing of materials to the development of prototypes, real-world testing, certification, and even evaluation by end-users, this Network ensures a complete and integrated approach.
Currently in the promotion and dissemination phase, the Collaborative Network of Laboratories has been present at key events such as the Portugal Smart Cities Summit, the Oeiras Science Festival, CIRED 2025, and the First International Conference on Transport Systems (TS2025). These participations have allowed for the consolidation of partnerships, identification of market needs, and gathering of technical contributions for the design of the services to be provided.
The next steps include defining priority services, structuring the operational model of the Network, and preparing new applications for projects that reinforce its mission.
The Network of Laboratories is composed of partners INEGI, INL, INESC ID, INESC TEC, ISQ, Smart Energy Lab, University of Évora, and WavEC, and has an investment of 1.9 million euros, co-financed by the PRR through the ATE Agenda.
