Open Innovation Program

What does it consist of?

The ATE Open Innovation Program is an international initiative that aims to accelerate innovation and collaboration in the energy sector, promoting the co-creation of advanced solutions between startups, scale-ups, technology providers, and large companies.

Through this initiative, participants will face real challenges defined by large corporations and experts, validate and test solutions through pilots and proof-of-concepts, and collaborate with key players in the energy ecosystem in Portugal and Europe.

How does it work?

The program proposes challenges organized into six key areas: data interoperability, flexible charging, battery circularity, energy communities, smart logistics, and disruptive mobility.

Participants submit their solution or technology, aligned with the defined challenges.

-The selected solutions go through phases of mentoring, involvement with industrial partners, and structuring of a pilot or proof of concept.

Who can participate?

Researchers, startups, scale-ups, and technology providers who have the following can apply:

– Validated prototypes or market-ready solutions;

– Strong alignment with the challenges defined by the initiative’s partners;

– A collaborative mindset and adaptability to industry needs.
