The Sizandro H2 project is a unit for the production of renewable hydrogen, produced through the electrolysis of water, using renewable electricity. The plant will be located in Torres Vedras, will have 5 MW of power and will produce 773 tonnes of hydrogen per year. Using alkaline electrolysis (AWE) technology, the production of high-quality hydrogen will be guaranteed.
Sizandro H2 will supply the Public Gas Network, as well as local industries and mobility, promoting a zero carbon society in the West region of Portugal.
This project, which is essential for decarbonisation and the energy transition, is led by Smartenergy, in collaboration with ISQ.
